Modern Heritage: Luxury Print & Fashion Collection

Project Overview: An exploration of fusing intricate traditional illustration with modern fashion silhouettes. This project focuses on placement print design, where the motif is engineered specifically to follow the garment's structure, creating a seamless blend of art and apparel.

The Narrative: "Baladewa: The Silent Warrior" The core pattern is a hand-drawn vector illustration inspired by the character Baladewa from Javanese mythology. Representing strength, honesty, and firmness, the character is reimagined through detailed line art, transforming a cultural artifact into a contemporary luxury textile print.

The Myth of Baladewa At the heart of this collection lies the intricate illustration of Baladewa, a prominent figure in Javanese Wayang mythology. Known as the mighty protector, Baladewa symbolizes firmness, honesty, and immense strength. By translating this traditional warrior archetype into a delicate vector motif, the design creates a dialogue between ancient wisdom and contemporary elegance.
"The structured silhouette of the long coat serves as a modern armor, mirroring the strong character of Baladewa embodied in the print."
